if feeding stuffs are to be raised. The accompanying Report contains (in Table I) an estimate of the increase in prices to farmers calculated according to a formula which has hitherto been used for this purpose. It is understood that the Agricultural Departments agree that an increase in prices of this order would compensate farmers for the proposed rise in feeding stuffs prices. The increases in prices to farmers amount in the case of cattle, sheep and milk, to between 1 and 2 per cent. of the present basic prices for these products.
