WAR CABINET Lord President's Committee Allocation of Cereals for distilling Memorandum by the President of the Board of Trade. At their meeting on 30th December 27,000 tons of Scottish barley for a month the question of (29,000 tons of imported grain to the grain distillers. the Committee agreed to allocate to the malt distillers and deferred allocating a further 49,000 tons of cereals and 20,000 tons of home grown barley) I have undertaken to let the Whisky Export Group know where they stand at the earliest possible moment and I therefore ask for a decision now on the 49,000 tons.
