LORD PRESIDENT'S COMMITTEE EFFECT OF INCREASING RATE OF EXTRACTION OF FLOUR FROM WHEAT Memorandum by the Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Department of Agriculture for Scotland 1. In accordance with Conclusion 4 of the Lord President's Committee on 16th January, 1942 (L.P. (42) 5th Meeting) the following observations are submitted on the effect of an immediate increase in the rate of extraction of flour from wheat. ###fect on protein foods. 2. An increase in the rate of extraction would not affect the supplies of the high protein feeding stuffs, mainly oilcakes.
