The Committee decided on March 9th that all coal-face workers serving as rank and file in the Army at home, otherwise than Field Force Units, should be released from the Army as soon as ###racticable for employment in the mines. The Secretary of State War had indicated in the discussion that as many as 13,000 men be obtained for the coal industry in this way.
