For this it will be necessary to co-ordinate supervision of progress during the carrying out of the works. The Departments at present furnish the Ministry of Works with progress diagrams showing the anticipated starting and completion dates of all major works and their estimated month to month labour requirements. Fortnightly returns are received direct from the contractors of their labour holdings and labour requirements on all important contracts; and monthly returns are received from all Departments giving their detailed labour holdings and the value of work done in the preceding month.
