Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of air raid damage dealt at Ancona, Turin and Milan, on March 28-29; the 2nd Air Fleet's short report for April 2; that the conversion of the 1st Panzer Regiment Hermann Goering to V tanks has been postponed and its transfer to the west cancelled, on March 23; and the Commander in Chief (C in C) for the West's afternoon report for March 27, noting the transfer out of the 9th SS Panzer Division; Naval Headlines, covering the Admiral Tirpitz being hit by bombers; and the U.S. destroying 100 Japanese aircraft on the ground in North New Guinea; from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to all stations, a German version of the situation on the Eastern Front, as of March 28; from the Siamese minister in Berlin, describing German alarm at the Soviet attack on Roumania, on March 29; and on Burma: that the ninth Japanese division is under orders to move to Burma, on March 21.
