A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a report for June 28, and on intentions for June 29; of increased propaganda against Egypt on June 26; that the Japanese minister in Lisbon is preparing for an emergency, on June 23; a Portuguese report from Stockholm of rumours of an impending Allied invasion of the Iberian peninsula, on June 26; a Japanese report from Lisbon of British aircraft making forced landings on Portuguese territory; and on the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs' statement of Japan's intentions to remove Australian and Dutch forces from Timor, and his view of Portuguese responsibilities in the area.
