A file of correspondence, press material, and Parliamentary Questions concerning former Nazis in East Germany. The documents contain a question asked in the British parliament regarding the appointment of former Nazis as judges and prosecutors in East Germany, which is forbidden under the Potsdam Agreement; and the response of the British government that the only former Nazi that they know to be working in the East German judiciary is Kurt Schumann, the president of the East German Supreme Court. The documents also include an article published in Neues Deutschland by Hilde Benjamin, the East German Minister of Justice, covering the election of judges in East Germany.
