A file of correspondence on East German relations with India. Subjects covered in the file include East German press reports on Indian support of East German policies concerning nuclear weapons and rocket bases; and claims that negotiations are proceeding for India to purchase chemicals and potash from East Germany, and that India has welcomed the offer of assistance in the building of a factory to manufacture cinematograph films. Further correspondence describes an article in the West German newspaper Die Welt about a visit of the East German prime minister, Otto Grotewohl, to India, where he is expected to meet his Indian counterpart, Jawaharlal Nehru.
