Documents in the file include speeches by several leading Soviet politicians on economic subjects; a report on the Soviet economy in 1981 compiled by embassy staff of European Economic Community member states in Moscow; a presentation on the budget for 1983 by the Soviet finance minister, Vasilii Garbuzov; and statistics on Soviet industrial output for November 1982.
